going gray?

On the way home from church today, I verified the existence of a gray hair in Doug's head. (Well, if it's not gray it's freakishly blond.)

I asked him, "Starting dental school has been a bit rough, eh?" and he responded, "No way. It was getting IN to dental school."

Frankly, I'd have to agree.

PS- Lest you worry Doug wasn't happy about the gray hair, he actually was super excited. I believe "COOL!" was his word of choice. He'd love to look like his dad, but I'm afraid if he does turn silver he and his dad will have to start wearing name tags so I can tell them apart.

Dougie--I also found my first gray hair my first year of graduate school. Then, on a daily basis. Best of luck maintaining your bounce and youth.

My reaction to my first gray hair definitely wasn't "COOL!" It was more like, "Shane, I'll be back in just a bit, I've got to go buy some hair dye."

Every once in a while I'm just a bit jealous of the opposite gender.

After writing that post yesterday, I had a SERIOUS craving for Rita's. So we found one in Midlothian, but got lost a few hundred times, taking an extra hour to get there, but it was worth it! Thank you to our GPS who did not know the Midlothian area. She is now grounded for a month.

Oh PS, I'm glad that someone else out here is going gray. It IS cool. Andrew quite admires my gray hairs. Don't pluck them, just love them.

Just one? Dental school must not be that stressful to get into! Just wait till that first little one comes in a few months! Look for us at the UCLA game with Ethan and his hat high above our heads!

Embrace the gray...I don't know if I have any yet, but Joel is starting to get some. He's like Doug, doesn't really care...I don't know how I would feel. It is funny how alike Doug and Dad look. Have an awesome day.

So Jackie...how's the reading going? Are you done with 'Breaking Dawn' yet? I am more than half way, but if it were up to me, I would be reading ALL day and I would be done by now! These books totally consume me and I tend to neglect all my other responsibilities. You should see my house...it's a mess! :)

Ahh, what is with these boys. Dana wants gray hair too. I'm not sure he wants it as bushy as his dads, but "white" is the word he uses in reverence around our hourse:)
