a dream come true

One of my lifelong dreams is to be walking along the street and suddenly—BAM!—there's music and everyone knows the same dance and we're all doing it perfectly in sync.

I have yet to witness such a thing, but stunts like this give me hope:

wow, i don't know if i'm overly emotional right now or if i'm just a big sap, but watching this made me so happy i started crying.

I too share the same dream. And I too became tearily happy.

Jack - if we really wanted to put our time to good use, we could make this happen. My only requirement is that we use the Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight".

I think that is the best thing I have ever seen. I will now have huge grin on my face all day. Thank you.

If that is truly your dream I think you should hang out in train stations in europe. Judging from the volume of videos like this on youtube it seems to happen weekly across the pond. You might get mugged but a dream is a dream.

I'll have to admit - I clapped at the end, after having smiled through the entire video.

I love it.

Oh my gosh I am laughing and crying and wishing I was in that dance! Is that not the coolest thing EVER?!!!! Seriously I can't stop smiling!

remix!

it seems that there are enough people who share this dream (nick will attest i would prefer that real life was a musical)-since there isn't a grand train station, perhaps we can arrange this at the bus stop?

Ok, I don't dream of actually being IN the dance, but seeing it would be good enough :) This was hilarious! Please tell me you've heard about Improv Everywhere...they do stunts like this all the time!

I keep hoping I'll witness one, but since I rarely go out these days, my chances are slim :)

I just love to see all the smiles on everyones faces! People knock musicals, but seriously look at the happiness a little music and spontaneous dancing brings people!

I have seen a few of these commercials and seriously I am so jealous...I totally want to be there! I would go so crazy if I was in the middle of something like that...maybe they'll do one at Target or...my mom's house...uh, where else do I go?... Anyway, totally agree...a dream come true!

The closest I've come to a musical moment was in Rocky Mountain Drive Inn - before the remodel. A song came on the radio and my friend and I began singing and moving along at the very same time the cashier sang and moved along. I say "move" because we didn't really break out into stunning choreography or anything, but it was more than standing around humming your favorite tune. :) Fantastic!

I have to tell you... my sister Jacquie saw this on your blog and is now showing it to everyone she meets because it made her so giddily happy. I just showed it to my parents and they giggled through the whole thing.

Way to make the Tolers smile, Jack.
