We don't do Xmas


An ad I found in a British craft magazine. You just wouldn't see something like this in a comparable American magazine.

Well, I actually think it’s really interesting. They used a quarter-page ad in this craft magazine (which for a small business like this probably isn’t cheap) to clarify how they feel about the holidays. They could have commercialized that little space with a bunch of sale items or a big Santa or a generic “Happy Holidays” ad, but instead they chose to say they celebrate Christmas and they’re not going to make it the budget-friendly X-mas by taking Christ out of it and leaving more room for their products or something. You just don’t see companies doing things like that.
